The house was getting quite full now. Minimeep, Little Bun and the Squirrel got there that evening. The staring contest continued, even though the hedgehogs had given up long ago, Minimeep was telling Nerys all about school. The squirrel had installed his climbing gear and found the nuts, so all was just about all right with the world.

Little Bun and Squirrel
Little Bun and Squirrel. Squirrel was very nervous about the photoshoot because he had to take off his climbing gear, that's why he's clutching his lucky acorn and Little Bun.

Day 76
Interlude
Imagine if you will, a beautifully peaceful sunny day, a light breeze, the Lark Ascending by Vaughan Williams, Vikings and Anglo-Saxons happily frolicking together in flower-filled meadows, sheep gently munching on the grasslands of the South Downs...a bucolic idyll in Spottyland.

Day 60
Romulus and Remus were brought up by a large family of rabbits after being abandoned as infants. They were a quarrelsome pair. They had a three day shouting contest to decide what their new city should be called, and Romulus won only because Remus swallowed a fly. The rabbits thought it was the best three days' entertainment they had ever seen.

Day 58
When not off marauding, the fiercely independent women Spotty Foxes of the Ancient world supported themselves by setting up a mobile library service, for a small affordable fee.

Day 46
It was the Cheese Salad on Seeded Brown Sandwich tree who invented agriculture 10,000 years ago, when he insisted on being moved 1.5 metres to the left because the nutrients were more tasty there.

100 day project day 1
Doctor Horace Singlebloom, author of the illustrated Evolution and History of Spottyland and other popular titles such as Maypole weaving for Ducks, was an educated shrub. He only emerged from his studies at the height of Summer when he was fully leaved. His career was illustrious, although being quite shy, he never went to award ceremonies. His works have been required reading for all students in Spottyland for over 100 years.

On being an artist part 3
Stripey looked out at what was going on in the garden with a certain amount of trepidation. Meep was just a bit concerned about the fact that she hadn't found any berets small enough for the field mice, otherwise they were ready.

On being an artist part 2
Meep was getting miffed now. Spotty had been printing stupid Lino cuts for hours now and wasn't paying any attention to her.

On being an Artist...
Stripey was a bit miffed. Her mum Ruby had been giving Spotty painting lessons. Now Spotty made her pose for him for hours at a time. Being a Muse wasn't very amusing...

Acorn watch part 1
Little Bun gave Squirrel a pot to plant his acorn into. He wouldn't be parted from it so they had to take it home. Squirrel watched it all the rest of the day and finally fell asleep still holding it. It was a gorgeous Spotty full moon that night so Little Bun covered him up with a blanket and left him there.

Digging
Little Bun was at her allotment getting the beds ready for some nice and healthy early carrots, and working off some of the chocolate excess at the same time.

Unhedged !
Stripey wrapped Meep up in a nice blanket once she'd cleaned and bandaged Meep's cuts and grazes. Spotty made a nice cup of tea and little Bun brought over some cup cakes while the field mice said they were very, very sorry. Squirrel was glad to have his climbing gear back. So all's well in Spotty land...for now !
