Sol and Ruby's Christmas 5

Sol was gazing wistfully at the last few leaves being blown off the trees. He contemplated the fiddle that was awaiting his tender ministrations, and felt slightly queasy. What on earth was he going to do about Christmas presents this year ?

On being an artist part 5

Meep was putting the final flourish on the mural. It was unfortunate that Spotty chose that exact moment to go outside. 

On being an artist part 3

Stripey looked out at what was going on in the garden with a certain amount of trepidation. Meep was just a bit concerned about the fact that she hadn't found any berets small enough for the field mice, otherwise they were ready. 

Acorn watch part 2

Squirrel was disappointed to see that nothing had happened when he woke up early the next morning. So he watered the acorn, sang to it and tried sending it encouraging thoughts. 

Digging

Little Bun was at her allotment getting the beds ready for some nice and healthy early carrots, and working off some of the chocolate excess at the same time. 

Stuck part 2

Spotty was absolutely furious with the field mice after he pulled the smouldering boots off Meep. Meep herself was still dazed. At least her feet were nice and warm, but she did wonder why Stripey was trying to pull her arms out of their sockets. 

Obie is working hard

Obie had been busy in the garden after rescuing Spit. He'd made a house for the hares next door to the hedgehog palace. Little Bun, Meep and the Squirrel waved them goodbye as the O'Hares moved into their new home. Obie stuffed a few more chips in, he still had to make a house for the field mice, with attached workshop. 

Skiing

Meep and little Bun strapped some old planks on to their feet and went into the back garden to practise. Little Bun spent most of the time lying on the snow while Meep found that if she stared at the horizon and didn't move at all, she could stay upright. 

Morning picnic

While Spotty and Stripey grinned stupidly at each other all the way down the hill, Obie made a whole heap of sandwiches and lots of cups of tea. Even one of the hedgehogs woke up and had a little snack before going back to prickly palace. 

Day 100

When Meep called Spotty out into the garden it was full of little ghosts ! Even Hoot had been stuffed into a pillow case. Spotty  wondered why the flowers on the ghosts' costumes reminded him of his best sheets. 

Day 90

Obie built the hedgehogs such a splendid palace that Spotty wondered if he might need planning permission for it. The hedgehogs were delighted. The palace had 27 bedrooms, central heating, and indoor plumbing ! After Spotty promised to wake them up for Christmas, they all settled down for the Winter. 

Day 68

Meep quickly stuffed Bertie bookworm into Ms Crimwallop's backpack as she left. Two minutes later Spotty came home.

Day 48

A few hours later and Meep was out in the garden testing her new invention, The aiFoxobot 1.1, Obie for short. 

Day 47

Spotty woke up at four in the morning to find his house full of sleeping hedgehogs and a terrible banging and clattering coming from the shed.

Day 28

After a splendid tea Spotty and his friends played an absolutely spiffing game of croquet on the lawn.

Day 7

Spotty can't stand the pace any more, so he's come on Holiday for a bit of a break from Stripey avoidance.

Day 6

Oh now he's hiding behind a painting of the garden...Stripey will never see him...

Day 5

Don't you think that Stripey might just know where Spotty is is spite of his cunning disguise ?
