Sol and Ruby at Christmas 3

Sol was relieved to see that Ruby was knitting. That would keep her busy for a few days. Everyone would be getting socks, a jumper, a scarf and a hat. (She was a fast, if not always accurate champion speed knitter ) Sol went out to his shed to ponder the meaning of Life and other important questions, like how many rows of beans to plant next year.

On being an Artist...

Stripey was a bit miffed. Her mum Ruby had been giving Spotty painting lessons. Now Spotty made her pose for him for hours at a time. Being a Muse wasn't very amusing...

Acorn watch part 1

Little Bun gave Squirrel a pot to plant his acorn into. He wouldn't be parted from it so they had to take it home. Squirrel watched it all the rest of the day and finally fell asleep still holding it. It was a gorgeous Spotty full moon that night so Little Bun covered him up with a blanket and left him there. 

Unhedged !

Stripey wrapped Meep up in a nice blanket once she'd cleaned and bandaged Meep's cuts and grazes. Spotty made a nice cup of tea and little Bun brought over some cup cakes while the field mice said they were very, very sorry. Squirrel was glad to have his climbing gear back. So all's well in Spotty land...for now !

A bit too quiet

Meep was bored. Spotty was out with Stripey and the house was awfully quiet now that Minimeep was at school all day. 

Spring cleaning

There's a bit of Spring cleaning going on at the Cheep's today. 

Spotty has had enough !

This is what Spotty came downstairs to the next morning. Little bun was desperately trying to clean up a little 'accident' she'd found behind the sofa. Poor Spotty's house was a mess. There was nothing else for it, Minimeep was going to have to go to kitten school. 

Climbing practise

Squirrel was getting a bit concerned by Minimeep's climbing abilities. 

Kitten overdose

Minimeep spent the rest of the day running around exploring and suddenly falling asleep. Little Bun was exhausted. 

The welcoming committee

While Stripey admired Ruby's handbag, (from the Spotty Home and Garden Spring Special edition) Meep only had eyes for Minimeep. 

Obie is working hard

Obie had been busy in the garden after rescuing Spit. He'd made a house for the hares next door to the hedgehog palace. Little Bun, Meep and the Squirrel waved them goodbye as the O'Hares moved into their new home. Obie stuffed a few more chips in, he still had to make a house for the field mice, with attached workshop. 

The great escape

Spit called Obie, he picked her up and ran out through the conservatory and back into their natural habitat, the shed. The field mice were very disappointed. 

Weigh in

Spit was horrified when the field mice insisted on weighing her. Even standing on only six legs didn't make any difference at all. 

The big thaw

Oh no ! Everything was melting. No more sledging, no more snowballs. Secretly Spotty was a bit relieved. It would be much easier to do the shopping. Meep was inconsolable, until Spotty pointed out that Sol and Ruby would soon be able to bring Minimeep to live with them. 

Skiing

Meep and little Bun strapped some old planks on to their feet and went into the back garden to practise. Little Bun spent most of the time lying on the snow while Meep found that if she stared at the horizon and didn't move at all, she could stay upright. 

Getting dressed !

Little Bun thought it was very important that the new arrivals be decently dressed. Even Spit didn't escape. 

A knock at the door

Hoot was at the door. He was frozen. Thelma O'Hare and her little boy Henry were there too as their house had collapsed under the snow. Of course Spotty took them in. 

Hedgehogs

Spotty had a sudden panic. What about the hedgehogs ? Their place was heated by electricity. So Obie was sent to get them. They were fine if very sleepy. Meanwhile the strange munching crunching noise was still coming from the ceiling. 

The snow suit

If ever Obie was needed it was now, but he was chipless and in the shed. Little Bun volunteered to go. Dotted lines = actual bunny within the snow suit Stripey had stuffed her into. 

More snow

They woke up the next morning to a strange bright light outside. It had snowed so much that it came half way up the windows and great big globbits of it were still coming down.
