Secret story 9

Spit is wearing her best tutu and trying very hard not to crumb bomb on the guests. Meanwhile Obie has been made a suit by Meep and is looking chic, even if he is wearing his buttonhole flower on his head.

Flamenco robot

Obie does look rather spectacular in the frock Little Bun made him, but I don't think it was quite what Spotty meant when he told him to dress up... 

Obie and Spit

Here are Obie and Spit. Obie was created by Meep, he can be remote controlled but he doesn't like it. He runs on chips, chunky ones are the best, crinkle are OK, and French fries will do if there's nothing else. He lives in the shed with Spit, she likes biscuits. 

Obie is working hard

Obie had been busy in the garden after rescuing Spit. He'd made a house for the hares next door to the hedgehog palace. Little Bun, Meep and the Squirrel waved them goodbye as the O'Hares moved into their new home. Obie stuffed a few more chips in, he still had to make a house for the field mice, with attached workshop. 

The great escape

Spit called Obie, he picked her up and ran out through the conservatory and back into their natural habitat, the shed. The field mice were very disappointed. 

Sledging

The sledge was well loaded up with supplies and off they went. On the way the picked up a family of distressed field mice whose house had disappeared. Spotty would easily find a bit of room for them. 

Snowball fight !

Little Bun threw a snowball back at Squirrel, Obie sent one flying back to Spotty and soon there was a full on snowball fight. Spotty couldn't help but start to enjoy himself. It wasn't really possible to tell if Little Bun was having fun, but let's assume she was !

Off to Foxlea

They were getting a bit low on supplies at Spotty's. So they fed Obie up with chips and with Squirrel shouting 'mush' loudly they almost flew to the village of Foxlea. 

Snow shovelling

Obie was soon clearing snow at a rate of knots. Little Bun thought he would be a good employee should she ever set herself up as an expert tunnelling  business. For now though, she thought she might go back inside the house and watch from a safe distance. 

Obie is a bit rusty

Obie the robot looked a bit rusty so little Bun gave him some oil and stuffed his chip port several times before he started to wake up. Spit the spider filched a chip and a ride back into the house, it was far too cold in the shed. 

Prawn aid part 2

Obie worked all night and was very proud of his Conduct-o-prawn. Samantha loved it as she could wear ribbons on her head without the helmet messing them all up. 

Prawn Aid part 1

After feeding Obie some chips, Spotty asked him if he could come up with something which might help Samantha with her choir duties. Truth be told, no one could actually see or hear her. Meanwhile Alan the garden snail was desperately trying to get her attention by singing Handel's Messiah at her. 

Halloween Fox Howling Song

The Owls didn't know quite what to make of the traditional Halloween Fox Howling song, but Meep joined in extremely enthusiastically. 

Day 89

As soon as the hedgehogs had fed him the plans for their house Obie started work. Meep and Spotty went back indoors as the noise was deafening !

Day 88

Meep and Spotty fed Obie lots and lots of chips and set him the task of making the shed into a proper workshop. They were amazed at the good job he made of it. 

Day 63

With less than three hours before Spotty was due back, Meep began by getting Obie to gather up all the extra hedgehogs. He put them in the shed with snacks and water to recover before they went home. 

Day 55

The hedgehogs found that Obie was great at cooking oven chips.
