Spotty was pleased to see that Meep and Munch were getting on so well when he called them in to supper.

Day 71


The hedgehogs started taking bets as to whether Meep or Munch would win this. Meep winning was about 20:1 at this point.

Day 68


Meep quickly stuffed Bertie bookworm into Ms Crimwallop's backpack as she left. Two minutes later Spotty came home.

Day 67


Ms Crimwallop made Meep do all the washing up and had her vacuum all around the house with five minutes to spare before Spotty was due back.

Day 66


Bertie got very worried about the situation in Spotty's house. He managed to call his assistant librarian, Ms Crimwallop, who promised to come straight away and sort Meep out. Poor Meep.

Day 65


The hedgehogs were starting to get extremely fed up with the way Meep was supervising the clean up.

Day 63


With less than three hours before Spotty was due back, Meep began by getting Obie to gather up all the extra hedgehogs. He put them in the shed with snacks and water to recover before they went home.

Spotty might have been imagining a sedate tea party but this is what Meep and the Hedgehogs were actually doing in his house !

After a lovely supper, Spotty was shown to the guest room which was decorated within an inch of its life. He tried to imagine what Meep might be up to.

Spotty needn't have worried about Stripey's parents. Sol and Ruby were really sweet, and what's more, Ruby was spotty !

Spotty and Stripey were met by the Stripey boys on the prom. It was lovely but Spotty was getting a bit nervous about meeting Stripey's parents...

Spotty was packing for a short stay in Lesser Foxton-upon-sea. He was going to meet Stripey at the station. Was he wise to leave Meep in charge while he was away ?

In the middle of the night, Harriet the smallest hedgehog, decided to make some modifications to Obie. She took out all his chips and replaced them with fresh ones from the freezer.

Day 52


The hedgehogs started cleaning up the mess while Meep told Spotty about how she'd felt neglected and why she had made Obie. Spotty promised it wouldn't happen again.

By the time Obie's battery had run down Meep was so distraught that Spotty didn't have the heart to say anything.

While Obie turned red and started to glow, Meep had discovered a fundamental flaw in her robot design, no OFF switch...

A few hours later and Meep was out in the garden testing her new invention, The aiFoxobot 1.1, Obie for short.

Spotty woke up at four in the morning to find his house full of sleeping hedgehogs and a terrible banging and clattering coming from the shed.
